About
Rapini is a vegetable also commonly known as Broccoli Raab and Rabe. It is considered in the broccoli family, but it is more similar to a turnip, grown for turnip greens, as it does not have a head like broccoli. It is served sauteed, often with garlic.

Seed Saving
Similar to turnips and beets, rapini usually requires a second growing season in order to seed. You must carefully remove from the ground in the fall and store in a dark cool place, such as a basement or root cellar, before replanting in the spring and allowing it to go to seed.
